We are glad to announce the release of our newest update. From now on you can put items from different sellers into your basket and you only have to check out once. We redesigned the checkout process and created are much more prettier navigation menu.

Multi currency support

Over 30 new currencies on Bitmit

Now you are able to couple your item prices and to display all Bitcoin prices in about 30 different currencies. Just hover the Bitcoin exchange rate on left hand upper corner. Alternatively select one in Settings -> Misc.

If your currency is missing, just let us know.

Announcement: In order to get the stone rolling and to allow a consistent further development of Bitmit we will raise the fee to 1.9% on 01 March 2012.

We want to inform you about a number of optimizations we implemented the last days:
  • Several bug fixes
  • Redesigned sales menu
  • Redesigned messaging system
  • Multi-level category system and category properties (eg mhash for video cards)
  • New option to place an item: Relist items automatically if it has not sold
  • The Bitcoins in escrow will be released automatically when the seller has received a positive rating for that order
  • Available pieces in stock will be displayed on the item page
  • Confirmation prompt when clicking the buy and bid button
  • Buy/bid warning when the seller is not classified as trustworthy (No escrow and no ID verification and enough positive ratings)

Extended escrow features

Beginning from today all users are able to use our extended escrow features:

Options for sellers

  • Cancel order and claim the Bitcoins in escrow back to the buyer
  • Request an automatic release of the Bitcoins in escrow, unless the buyer does not deny within 14 days

Options for buyers

  • Request a refund of the Bitcoins in escrow, unless the seller does not deny within 14 days

Of course you get notified by e-mail if one of your buyers/sellers is requesting one of these options.
